If you have received a Kenalog injection, please follow these aftercare instructions to ensure a safe and effective recovery.

General Aftercare Advice:

Always contact the clinic if you have any questions, experience side effects, or feel unwell after the injection.
Avoid cardiovascular exercise and try to rest the injection site for 24-48 hours to minimise discomfort.
Do not rub the injection site to prevent irritation and infection.
Do not wash the area for at least 6 hours, as tap water contains bacteria that may enter the injection site.
Monitor for any unusual reactions—such as swelling, rashes, bumps, or hives—on or around the injected area. Report any concerns immediately.

EMERGENCY: Seek urgent medical help (Call 999) if you experience signs of an allergic reaction, including:

  • Severe swelling

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Widespread rash or hives
